The fitness and leisure industry operates on high volume and high physical intensity. With heavy equipment, wet areas, and constant footfall, the margin for error regarding health, safety and compliance is, quite rightly, non-existent. GymBee had a clear vision but a complex problem: the industry was drowning in paper (literal and digital). Facility managers were relying on fragmented spreadsheets, pen and paper, and clunky legacy software to track critical safety checks. This "clipboard culture" created invisible friction. Missed checks went unnoticed until it was too late, reporting was reactive rather than proactive, and compliance data was siloed, making multi-site management a logistical nightmare. Even worse, some essential aspects of compliance (such as customer data security) weren't even on their radar! GymBee needed a partner to take them from concept to a robust, scalable MVP. They required a full-stack solution; a command centre for management and an intuitive mobile interface for staff on the gym floor, that could handle the rigorous demands of enterprise-level leisure facilities.
